At Big O Tires stores, we have made arrangements with professional recyclers to pickup the fluids we remove from vehicles and recycle the majority of these fluids. If they can’t be recycled, they are disposed of properly. If you change any of the fluids in your vehicle yourself, be sure to take the old fluids to a recycling center.
Where Do Old Car Batteries End Up?
Car batteries contain hazardous lead. That lead, along with other battery components, can be safely reclaimed for manufacturing new batteries. Even the plastic casing is ground down and reused. Big O Tires cares about the environment. We recycle the exchanged batteries that we receive from our customers.
Under-Inflated Tires Waste Fuel!
Driving with under-inflated tires is like driving with the parking brake on! Under-inflated tires and incorrect wheel alignment can lead to conditions that increase a tire’s rolling resistance. That kind of drag can cost a mile or two per gallon on a car that normally gets 20 miles per gallon. Check your tires monthly to maintain proper tire pressure!
